There are a number of options available to you in an emergency... Dental Emergencies A dental condition is only considered to be an emergency if any of the following symptoms are present:
If you do not have any of the above, your condition does not constitute an emergency. Private Patients If you are a private patient or a member of Halton Plus, and your emergency is during opening hours, please call the practice as soon as possible and we will endeavour to see you at the next available appointment time. There may be a charge for this appointment but this will be taken off the cost of any treatment. NHS Patients If you are registered as an NHS patient with us and have already attended an appointment at the practice, please call us to discuss your condition and if necessary we will make an appointment for you to be seen within 48 hours. If you are not registered with us or have given us your details but have yet to attend for your first appointment, please call your local dental access centre to arrange for an emergency appointment. The nearest dental access centre to our practice is located in Midsomer Norton and they can be contacted on 01761 409810. Alternatively, contact NHS Direct on 0845 4657. If you have an urgent condition that does not constitute an emergency, we may be able to see you for a Private Urgent appointment. Conditions such as a chipped tooth, lost crown or filling, broken dentures may fall into this category. There may be a charge for this appointment but this will be taken off the cost of any treatment. Out-of-Hours Emergencies Halton Plus members can access our out-of-hours emergency service for private emergencies up until 10pm weekdays and from 10am until 6pm on weekends and bank holidays. Members should call the number that was contained in their welcome letter. If you are not a member of Halton Plus, please contact NHS Direct on 0845 120 6680 if you have an emergency outside of surgery hours.
