When your course of treatment has finished, your Dentist will advise when he or she would next like to see you.

Our Dentists now follow guidelines issued by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) on how often patients need to see their Dentist, according to their oral health needs.

It is no longer the norm for patients to have two check-ups each year if they are not needed, especially on the NHS. The Department of Health wishes NHS resources to be allocated to those who need it most. As such, the time between check-ups can range from 3 months upwards. You can of course choose to visit your Dentist or Hygienist more often, on a private basis, if you prefer to see your clinician more regularly.

Before leaving the practice at the end of your course of treatment, you will be requested to book your next appoiment, even if it is a year ahead.

Reminders

Reminders for check-ups are sent out around a week in advance of the appointment by text or email depending upon the information that you have provided. Please note that we do not send reminders by post.
